The girl is home sick today. And when I say 'sick,' I mean, 'possibly contagious and so unable to mingle with her peers but well enough to run around the house and wreak havoc upon everything including my work day.' Which is to say, not sick enough to sit still long enough for me to get any work done, or keep up with my Tweeting.
She will, however, sit still for this video. Which has been running on a loop on my iPhone the entire time that I've been writing this post:
I know. This particular video went viral, like, a year ago. But four year olds don't care. They just want to know HOW CAN I DANCE LIKE THAT MOMMY LIKE THOSE BABIES ON THOSE ROLLER SKATES HOW CAN I DO THAT MOMMY I CAN DO THAT MOMMY CAN I PUH-LEEEEZE?
To which I just say, sure you can, baby. You just need to watch that video a lot more times so that you can learn. And, presto! I've just bought myself fifteen minutes to write about buying myself fifteen minutes.
And when spring comes and I have to teach her to roller-breakdance, well, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
Catherine? Will you teach me how to do that when you teach Emilia? ;)

I have never seen this video and want to sincerely thank you because I now have something new to use that will give me 15 precious minutes too!
They'll love this!
Thank you! ;)

Thanks for the video tip. Sometimes you need iphone videos to make the day work. We are housebound today too.
If you have young kids, search youtube.com for super simple songs. My two love them. It's good for 10 minutes.
