From Gawker: "The University of Minnesota medical school has solved the problem of the 'embarrassment, stereotypes and concern about patriarchy and abuse' that goes along with teaching medical students to do pelvic exams. Whew!" Medical students at UM will learn to do the exams on an anatomical model - which, I presume, means using some kind of high-concept dummy - NO JOKES PEOPLE - rather than performing them on actual patients.
They must have read about that whole non-consensual nether-probing issue that we have up here in Canada. "Concern about patriarchy and abuse," indeed.
